Hotel Vulcano in Tenerife, enjoy the Spanish sun (Spring Hotels)

Hotel Vulcano Tenerife is a 4-star hotel located close by the popular beach of Playa de la Americas. It is one of the 3 hotels of the hotel chain Spring Hotels. They have 2 hotels in Playa de las Americas and 1 hotel in Playa de Los Cristianos. It was our first time on the island of Tenerife and we had no idea what to expect. Warm temperatures, a rocky landscape and many facilities for tourists, do we have the right image of Tenerife? We’ll find out soon!

Hotel Vulcano Tenerife, a whole new face

On the island of Tenerife, the Hotel Vulcano is a pretty known hotel among tourists and locals. In 2017, the hotel was given a complete facelift. Major renovations were carried out to give the hotel a completely new, modern and refreshing look. Whether or not it was a success, I can assure you it was! We really loved the entrance hall which is very special and acts as a real eye-catcher with its tropical indoor jungle.

 

A white tropical jungle

The hotel is as we say ‘all white’, but is defined by the many green plants and nature that are used both indoors and outdoors. Tenerife, a barren landscape with many rocks? Hotel Vulcano managed to give that a nice twist! The entrance hall is more than just a space to receive guests. It functions as a relaxation area, internet hotspot and recreational place where people like to have a chat. Upon arrival you will receive a glass of champagne as a welcome drink, the first points were scored!

Modern rooms that make you dream away

We spoiled ourselves by choosing the ‘UP! XL Room‘. Each floor has 1 luxury room of this type and we can definitely recommend a stay in this room. The UP! XL rooms are very pleasant and above all very spacious to stay in. The walk-in shower in the bathroom is large enough to shower with 2 people simultaneously (plus point!). Furthermore, the room has a huge king size bed overlooking the pool and the sea. The orientation was also great because you saw both the sun rising and setting! Something we personally attach great importance to.

Something you won’t find in every hotel room, a Nespressso machine! They knew how to spoil their guests.

 

Every day a new surprise in the restaurant

Something that we find terrible about most ‘all-inclusive’ formulas, is the same food and dishes every day. For us, this is a real turn-off. At Spring Hotels they are aware of this and offer their guests an extremely varied buffet. Every day new dishes and products are introduced to the guests so that they can try something new every day.

Breakfast as a king

A breakfast to dream off; fresh fruit, different types of bread, hot dishes, yoghurt, pancakes, different types of eggs, sweets and much more! The offer was so extensive that making a choice has never been so difficult. We started our day each time with a well-filled stomach and a good mood!

Dinner at the buffet restaurant “Las Salinas”

Something delicious for everyone! Las Salinas offers an extensive kitchen so that everyone will find something they will like. From different types of fresh fish and meat to vegetarian couscous. Dessert fans will also be able ‘to go loco here’ with fresh fruit, sweet desserts, cake, cake,….

Upgrade your vacation, the UP! facilities

If you want to give your holiday just that little bit extra, you can do this by upgrading your stay to “UP”. This gives access to the beautiful rooftop terrace and luxurious lounge which is open from 10am – 8pm during the summer. Here you can enjoy the different nibbles and drinks.

It is also the perfect place to enjoy a beautiful sunset!

Our favourite spot at the Hotel Vulcano is without a doubt the rooftop infinity pool. It has a incredible view and during sunset it has almost something magical. If you prefer the jacuzzi, don’t worry because it’s also there! Some good music, a nice view and a glass of champagne, what more should a person want?

Not unimportant to mention is that the rooftop terrace is ‘adults only’ so that all guests can enjoy the necessary peace and quiet.

Other Facilities of Vulcano Hotel

The sporty souls among us can go wild in the gym of the hotel. The gym has different devices to burn the necessary kcal. If you prefer to have a ‘me-moment’, you can go to the spa for the necessary relaxation.

 Both are open from 10 a.m. – 6.30 p.m.
