Villa Asmara – The Biggest Bali Villa Ever

6 November 2017

Our first time in Bali and we had the opportunity to stay in Villa Asmara! Bali is overall on social media with it’s beautiful photos and videos, so our expectations were very high.

The environment of Villa Asmara

Villa Asmara, true luxury

Our first stay in Bali was in the beautiful Villa Asmara of Elite Havens, located in Pantai Mengening Munggu. ‘Asmara’ is Sanskrit for ‘love’. The villa is surrounded by extensive green rice fields and close to the Pura Gede Luhur Batungau sea temple. Villa Asmara is located in southwest Bali, about 15 km from the center of Cemagi. The well-known and touristy Tanah Lot temple is 9 km away and the airport is 25 km away from Villa Asmara. In the region around the villa are several luxurious private villas, with a lot of privacy and luxury.

Homecoming means Tradition in Villa Asmara

It was a very warm welcome by the staff of Villa Asmara. You are reading it well, staff! If you rent this villa, it’s including 2 housekeepers, villa manager, driver, gardener, security and a chef. These hospitable and lovely people will try to make your stay as pleasant as possible. On arrival we received a fresh, lightly scented tissue, a floral wreath and a fresh coconut. Our first impression was already excellent!

Welcome in Villa Asmara

Luxury in Every Detail

The villa is for 8 people, so we could still take some friends with us. The rooms are built around the pool, along with the beautifully landscaped garden, ensuring your privacy.

The bedrooms

The villa has 4 bedrooms, with 2 master suites. All rooms are very spacious and have a separate bathroom, with bath and rain shower. The master suites  have a huge king-size bed. One suite is located on the 1st floor and has a beautiful view over the garden. The other suite is located on the ground floor and has a traditional hand-woven roof called ‘alang alang’. Both suites have their own terrace, rain shower, double sink and jazucci. Except for the first suite, all rooms have an outdoor rain shower.

The Pleasure is Splashing Off

Our personal highlight of Villa Asmara was definitely the beautiful pool! Located central in the beautiful garden, you’ll find this 12 meter long swimming pool with an impressive Buddha statue. In this swimming pool, you just can keep swimming! After this refreshment, you can relax in one of the four sun loungers. There are 2 parasols available, so you can shelter for the bright sunshine.

Everything you Need

Villa Asmara has a capacity for 8 people, if required, 3 more beds can be added for a fee. On the second floor you’ll find a media room with TV and DVD player, so children (and also adults) can entertain themselves.

There is a spacious game room on the first floor, here you can play a game of billiards with friends or just enjoy the view.

The villa has also a tennis court, which is shared with other villas. Here  you can get to know other people and play a small game!

The entire villa is open, so the lounge- and dining room are one big room. On an island like Bali is this a great thing! You live outside the whole day, with a lot of greenery and nature that surrounds you. Sometimes the temperatures are rising pretty high, but luckily every room in Villa Asmara has airconditioning!

Eating as a King

We’ve never had a private chef before. We always thought that this would be very expensive, but after staying in Villa Asmara, we can assure you this doesn’t always have to be the case. At Villa Asmara they have a menucard with Western, Asian and vegetarian dishes. In the morning, you tell the chef what you would like to eat for lunch or dinner. Than she goes to the local market, to search for the best ingredients. In this case, Villa Asmara is very correct, you will get an overview of the vouchers of the ingredients at the end of your stay. If you would like an alternative or you have a dish in mind, everything will be arranged! The chef is very flexible and is home to all types of kitchens.

Tip:
If we can give a tip, try the seafood bbq! It contains fresh fish and crustaceans right out of the sea!

A dream coming true

Who thinks about Bali, thinks of a floating breakfast with a lot of fruit! So we really needed to try this out, especially  if you are in such a beautiful location. We have to admit, we could get used to this!

As you read, you are spoiled in all ways! We would highly recommend Villa Asmara for couples with children or families!
